recommendations for IEMs with sound signature similar to UE Triple-Fi 10?
Prior to the TF10, I used to use a Shure e500s, but there was just way too much bass for my taste. I wonder what the SE425 sounds like though... Quote:- ya8282

recommendations for IEMs with sound signature similar to UE Triple-Fi 10?
My old UE Triple-Fi 10s from 2007 are falling apart (I had to glue them together this morning) and I considered buying another pair at Amazon, but thought maybe there might have been a few new and exciting developments in the IEM market since then. I listen primarily to classical...- ya8282

Headphones and violins…
I haven't tried a lot of headphones mentioned in this thread, but I do use the HD650 most of the time to listen to a lot of classical music and find them perfectly acceptable. The violins come through perfectly fine solo or in ensembles. I think the level of realism depends on the recording. One...- ya8282

Cannot use UE10 Triple-Fis with iPhone without an adapter
Seems that the L-shaped miniplug broadens out too much at where the contacts meet the mold, so you can't use them with the iPhone's recessed headphone port. Edit --- Apparently, none of my earphones fit in securely. I also just read the earlier threads about the requisite adapter. Not too...- ya8282

The biography of a virgin audiophile (E500PTH)
I personally do not gain anything from CNet's reviews because they cover information that is not really relevant to what I want to know. Answers to your questions: 1. Probably about the same temperature at which you should stop using your iPod. I believe there are some specs for operating...- ya8282

Opinions on Iriver S10?
I guess mine is missing this option. I am using Firmware version 1.03 which iRiver Plus 3 claims is the latest version. Quote: Originally Posted by derwersei In the "Select EQ" menu I can choose between "SRS", "UserEQ", "Normal" and a number of presets such as "Jazz". Since...- ya8282

Trouble finding the right fit for UE Triple Fi
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the large tips and they are uncomfortable and sometimes pop out. I think the problem is that I need slightly deeper tips rather wider ones. The medium flexible tips on the Shure E500 also fit securely, but they are also slightly longer. I guess I will try...- ya8282

Trouble finding the right fit for UE Triple Fi
I received these a couple days ago and have been burning them in (treble sounds, but when I tried wearing them, none of the tips seem to fit and seal my ear canals very well. The small tips fall out of my ears and the medium ones are a little bit painful (and also seem to slip out occasionally)...- ya8282
