  Western Electric 421A is equivalent to 5998 so it can be used as the output tube in the Teton.

Thank you Minimus for your comparison with the 4-45. I've just placed an order for a Teton from Todd.    This will be my first OTL amp. I've been wanting to try an OTL amp for ages but there wasn't any one that caught my eye until the Teton.

For people who have a EML 300b mesh with the Balancing Act...I have a question: Is the eml 300b mesh supposed to have any filament glow? My pair are completely dark yet still sound amazing, I only have this "problem" with this tube, other power tubes glow normally.
