    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

Forgot to mention that my preferred music genre is electronic (classic, ambient, motion picture soundtrack).

Personally, I have had little success in eq'ing out applied "house tuning" especially significant tuning performed by certain manufacturers... with that said, some have had luck doing it so give it a whirl and see if you can "unveil" to your liking/preference. The Blur house sound is most...

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

Anyone have any insight on the difference, if any at all, between the AD827SQ (Mouser $51.02) and the MIL-STD-883B processing variant AD827SQ/883B (Mouser $68.43). Apparently, everywhere I looked they are "not-in-stock" and require a six-week or more lead-time.

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

@Dramlin it has been mentioned on another thread and forum that the most favorable Op-Amp rolling results for both the XD-05 and XD-05 Plus is when they are used in HeadAMP mode only. Meaning that AUX IN is used, completely bypassing either the AK4490 or AK4493 DAC chip. Just wondering what...

This DAC and headAMP are both highly susceptible to EMI interference... but with the copper foiling... a ringing smartphone literally sitting on top of it (or a noisy PC right...

    Modifying WM1Z/A

A well known brand and reliable... it is similar to regular eutectic solder but with a small (2-4%) silver content... the question though is if the price is worth the application especially if what you are soldering has no silver content (components, terminals, and/or wires). If no silver...

    Modifying WM1Z/A

Hence, my previous comment... since the 1970s we really have found nothing that shields as well for the price than copper foil tape... plus, it conveniently molds to nearly any shape no matter how complex or odd it may be.

Nothing has yet beaten the price vs performance of Conductive Adhesive Copper Foil Tape. A not so elegant but successful solution in most cases... please pardon the pun
