Decent back ups..............Samsung IEM's
They indeed look like proper iems. Sony has also plenty stock iems that are quite ok.- whelibob

Sub-$50 Earphones
You dont have Meelec M9 on your list. They fit your price range and are probably the best iems in that price range.- whelibob

Meelec M6 vs M9
Meelec M9's are the smallest iems ive ever had. They go quite deep in your ear, combined with the small size they are very good for sleeping. Don't have M6's but they seem to come out quite much from your ear, so wouldnt recommend them for sleeping.- whelibob

Worst IEM you've ever heard.
Noice cancelling stock iems on Sony NWZ-S739F-player were horribly unconfortable, couldn't wear them. The SQ was ok and the noice cancelling worked well on the bus. http://www.hotdealsgenie.com/uploads/products/popup/popup_1_1270606948_sony-mp3walkman-nwz-s739fb-a.jpg- whelibob

IEMs bassier than ATH-M50 or Sony MDR-XB500 under $150?
Quote: Agree. From bassheavy iems Sony MDR-90LP, Meelec M9 and Xears TD100 II, Hippo VB gives the deepest bass with a nice controlled punch. Especially with the 2-dot plate it gives the most impact.- whelibob

IEM Options for $150 and below
Hippo VB's are still quite bassy with the least bassy plate, so if you're not a basshead, I wouldnt recommend them.- whelibob

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
How does Beyerdynamic DT770 compare to Sony XB500 bass wise? I know they are in a completely different pricerange, but Ive heard DT770 has an excellent amount of bass and better mids and treble compared to XB500.- whelibob

No love for Sony XB 700?
I recieved Sony XB500 a week ago. Compared them to XB700 in the shop and preffered XB500 because they had better impact on the bass and reached enough low for my taste. Eventhought XB700 goes lower.- whelibob

a tear literally just came to my eye
Ive compared Hippo VB's to other bass-heavy iems like Sony MDR-90LP, Meelec M9, Xears TD100 II and with no doubt they have the deepest and most impactful bass. But I dont really like the treble on them, bit too harsh for my ears.- whelibob
