Comment by 'Victorfabius' on listing 'Google Pixel'
I'm back from vacation. If you're interested, I do have a US unlocked Pixel 6 256GB in Stormy Black. Just used the Pixel 6 Pro with UAPP outputting to a JDS Atom DAC+ yesterday (so it works with more than just the Tea). Elevating from that, I'm thinking the Pixel 6 would work as well. Send a PM...- Victorfabius

Comment by 'Victorfabius' on listing 'Google Pixel'
Yes. Pixel 6 series had this problem, though a recent (May or June?) firmware update fixed the issue. I've got a 6 and 6 Pro (moved from one to the other), so I know it's working with UAPP on the Pro, at the very least. Using the Khadas Tea wired with the Pro, so I can confirm that. But it is...- Victorfabius

[FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit
A&K SP1000 uses the USB-C form factor, as does the Hidizs AP80. The pin configuration on those devices are determined by the manufacturer, not by some international standard. They might have a pin for power where others might have a pin for data, for example. The Hidizs in particular has a...- Victorfabius

E1DA USB DAC's - 9038 ( all ) - Power Dac (PDV2) - HP Toy
E1DA also has a website where you can inquire about purchase and you might get it for cheaper than Ali, since you're skipping the retailer. It's interesting. I'm wondering how it is in real-world use before I go about purchasing one. One of my concerns is how much power it draws and whether it...- Victorfabius

Introducing the LCD-i3
As far as I’m aware, the Cipher cable has only come with the lightning termination. This version doesn’t look like a new addition, either, but rather an inclusion of an existing product, likely the V.2 cable, if I’m not mistaken. Plus, since Anker made a $35(USD) lightning to USB-C adapter...- Victorfabius

[FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit
That's kind of what I have envisioned for the Q5s for myself. Will have to see about putting my Topping products up for sale. Not that there's anything wrong with Topping, I just don't need a dedicated desktop DAC and haven't used the NX4 DSD for months. I'm also appreciative of Bluetooth 5.0...- Victorfabius

[FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit
Q5S seems to have been released. Looks like a pretty fine device with AM3E and a particularly interesting device with the AM3D. Much as I enjoy the Toppong NX4 DSD (a great device in and of itself), I may have to move some items to get me the Q5S. Glad to see it's finally here.- Victorfabius

Dragonfly COBALT vs.............Discussions
If I'm not mistaken, the Sabaj DA3 consumes 5 times the power of the DFB, and one of the benefits of the DFC is it's lower power consumption. Even if it works with iOS or Android, it might not be a good portable solution. I think the DA3 does work with some Android phones, and I haven't yet...- Victorfabius

Audioquests new Dragonfly Cobalt @TTVJAudio.com
There were a couple of price spikes for the DFR, as per camelcamelcamel (https://camelcamelcamel.com/AudioQuest-DragonFly-Red-Headphone-Amplifier/product/B01DFMV4NQ) but it's been relatively steady for the past 18 months. In terms of Cobalt hiss on the Cobalt, I'd imagine it's be similar to the...- Victorfabius

iBasso DX120 pure DAP player. Balanced, single ended, line out and 2 micro SD slots. FW 2.9.21 now out!
Same on my unit. I suspect I messed up the install, but I can't seem to undo it. I might have to look into finding the batch tool and seeing if that fixes the issue. Otherwise, doesn't seem to be that big of an issue. I may check when I get back home, but I might forget; it'll be a while.- Victorfabius

[FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit
FiiO doesn't have that problem per se, it's more an issue of variation of pin outs on USB-C ports from different manufacturers. Part of why I'm hoping Apple gets their smartphones with USB-C instead of lightning, because I suspect this move will help bring a more standard configuration. Though I...- Victorfabius

[FiiO Q5s Type C ‖ Q5s] Bluetooth DSD-capable Amplifier,AK4493x2,768k/32bit
While not ideal for the Q5s, this is actually good news for the future. It's an indication that the USB-C port will be on most Apple products in the future and I suspect this will be beneficial. In the mean time, I hope there's now a product roadmap (at least in theory) for a Q5s successor that...- Victorfabius

Tin Hifi P1 impressions
Which is the oddest thing about the F3, and also why I think the P1 situation resonates with me. NiceHCK has had some successes under their belt, with (in my opinion) the HK6 being the pinnacle of their achievement so far (the NK10 is another good one, for example). So I was interested to see...- Victorfabius
