Its ok. I just wanted to prevent anyone from buying dt100ish headphones(not dt150 these are really nice). I spent 5$ or so on pare of these, you, i suppose, spent much more:)

I had dt100, and examined their drivers(now i have just dead one from em). They are small, membrane is really thick, and magnet system is very weak. Nothig good if you compare them with dt250/150 ones. Also just look at frequency response graphs, and you will understand what im talking about...

Exactly. These headphones can only give you some emount of mids, they are just for one ear use, for live musicians, not for end user's listening sessions. Dt150 will give you full response tho.

These have Same mediocre drivers as dt100.

Audiotechnica ATH-WS770iS 53mm drivers. In ws550is used the same drivers.

Well, in my case- i like ws770 more then m50x) But i had to fully close the vents in cups. With this kind of mod, I've got more mids and highs, less bass but lost some of the soundstage. Also planing to have some experiments with damping materials and pads. From what I saw inside of the cups...

Just dt880 driver design with 2 resistors and old-beyer style mash on the front IMO.

Audio-technica ath-MSR7's drivers. One of them killed by me, another is still working. I bet that m70x has the same drivers.

It would be cheaper and more firm to do these cups from thick plastic IMO.

Are you going to put some felt on the back of the driver? I mean it could be not enough of demping there(just a piece of foam).

Could you take a picture of the driver without pads?

Lil question, guys: is it double sided magnet system in 1060 or not?

Did you try to open the cup and mod drivers? Adding or taking out some of the dampening material should change the sound noticebly.
