Hand built custom headphones
Yep, WM61A is linear up to ~2khz. Above that its a crap shot. Still a nice thing to experiment with though. And yes, you can pretty much forget about building something that look and sound better than beats, from scratch, AND on a small budget. Much easier and cheaper to modify off the shelf...- ujamerstand

Raspberry Pi & DIY
Overreaction much? I never said raspi i is the best one size fit all solution. It'd be nice if you don't put words in my mouth. And I do agree, it isn't that great for portable usage; it's also hard to mount the darn thing securely in a portable setup. I personally do not need to worry about...- ujamerstand

My DIY electrostatic headphones
I don't know what stax uses for their dust screen, but from this post, they seem to slowly hand rub the material (for a staggering 30 hours?!) to add folds into the film.- ujamerstand

My DIY electrostatic headphones
Would be interested to see distortion and CSD graphs in addition to FR. There might be changes in distortion levels with the thicker diaphragm that is not shown in the FR graph.- ujamerstand

The usb fault has been documented, and they have suggested that it is possibly related to a weak power supply. Try swapping it out with something else?- ujamerstand

Newark postponed my shipment yet again. So now I'm set to receive it on the 5th. Must've fallen through the cracks, since they are suppose to send me an email if my order was affected by manufacturing delays. Boooo.- ujamerstand

While browsing on my phone I was redirected from the page I was viewing to this page: It would be great if HF disable ads that will redirect traffic offsite. Thanks.- ujamerstand
