    You have to use the adapter, since the HiFiMAN RE-ZERO are balanced earphones.

    Try listening to some sine waves or just silence to see if the fuzziness is still there. Could be the sign of some worn-out tubes.

    The fact that the UE700 is the higher than the newer headphones (at least in model number) isn't good. I didn't like the UE700 when I tried it.
