I would just pick your favorite material, because it's going to matter what YOU listen to. Also, it was my impression that all of the Zeros have a balanced plug, with an adapter for 3.5mm jack.

I feel it's more resultant of genres of music as well. My girlfriend listens to stuff like "The Knife" a lot. Very detailed production, lots of bleeps and bloops you could easily miss on 20 dollar headphones. Some genres benefit from bigger bass, etc. She was able to pick up on the level of...

I can definitely say that these are meeting my expectations, and are definitely musical enough for me. If anything, I would like just a TAD more bass, and i mean a tad (quantity may be just about right actually), and perhaps just a TAD warmer which I'm hoping will happen as they burn in.  ...
