The Fiio X5 Thread
Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you BUDDY. You were right. That solved my problem meaning it was a bug after all that FiiO really should have taken ownership for. Thank you sooooo much. T- tumbledry2012

The Fiio X5 Thread
Dear FiiO and George - regardless of where the device is purchased from, it still is a FiiO AND the number of people who have reported the same problem on the X5 CAN NOT be ignored. I realize you and FiiO want to promote FiiO and frankly I want it to be good too. I also own two E12's an E9...- tumbledry2012

The Fiio X5 Thread
I have been interfacing with FiiO for ages and yes they asked me to contact the vendor (I did) but I purchased through Massdrop and FiiO told me that Massdrop is not an authorized vendor. With regard to my comments - isn't this what this forum is about and don't FiiO ask for honesty and not to...- tumbledry2012

How dare Massdrop buy and sell hunted's of FiiO X5's for FiiO when they are an unathirised dealer - Shame on them ! Though Massdrop are huge and reputable and sell millions of dollars of product. No, it's a bug and many people have the same problem, I'd suggest you read this and other forums and you'll see it. Again FiiO is more than aware of the problem but they failed miserably in taking responsibility for it. A spade is a spade folks ! Customers paid good money for something that...- tumbledry2012

The problem with the X5 not being recognised by the computer is a well known BUG and problem which firmware updates have not fixed. Joe and James (FiiO) are WELL AWARE of the problem. I'm very disgruntled as a result. FiiO cut the crap stop acting surprised when someone reports this to you. Stop...- tumbledry2012

Purchased a FiiO X5 from Massdrop in November 2014. Used it once and due to illness (hospitalised for over a year) it was in my desk drawer. I'm now trying to updated my music library but X5 will not connect to my MAC via USB. I'm using FiiO cable. I tried different ports. I have reset the...- tumbledry2012
