Yeah best to rewire if you want to do that, it all depends on how they are wired. That said, I made my own balanced cables for my hifiman 400i. Though I also think expensive cables are a waste of money, at least for my ears.

Lol I still have the ISK MDH900's I remember you really like them but they never fit me properly ( I have a small head I guess). I always found them bass heavy anyways but I certainly liked how deep and immersive the soundstage was. Im hoping the Pro 82's will have less bass.
