FS: Explorer2, UMM-6
It was fun, good enough for basic assessments and relative adjustments when experimenting with/verifying personal EQ adjustments. I switched to a GRAS setup for more rigorous, repeatable and standards compliant work.- Torq

SOLD: miniDSP EARS - Headphone Measurement Rig
I can't see it being worth it to ship it to Australia - by the time you add the extra shipping it'd probably be cheaper to buy a new one direct from miniDSP. The GRAS systems are more accurate, more consistent, have additional options for different situations (different ear/pinnae/cheek...- Torq

SOLD: miniDSP EARS - Headphone Measurement Rig
Selling my miniDSP EARs rig - due to switching to a GRAS setup. Unit is in excellent condition (can't tell it from new) and functions perfectly. Calibration and compensation profiles are available from the miniDSP EARs page (using the serial number of the unit). I also have additional...- Torq

I've no experience with Dekoni pads for Focal at all, sorry. They're great guys; had a lot of fun with them at CanJam @ RMAF 2018 ... but can't advise in this case. Beyond saying that the Stellia with their stock pads are in my Top 2 closed-back headphones. It's worth it to get the stock pads.- Torq

Oh ... you do not want to put Elex pads on the Stellia ... Here's the FR plot for all of the Focal pad options with the Stellia (I owned ALL of Focal's high-end cans at the same time, and did these measurements back to back):- Torq

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
An "extension" cable should be a straight-through configuration. Beyond that, unless you're getting something custom made, you're not going to have any options. You want the lowest resistance possible. And you need it to be well matched between channels. Really, you're better off getting a...- Torq

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I wouldn't say "any". A decent quality, extension (i.e. wired straight through) cable will probably be fine. Even then, you'd be better off with a 4-pin XLR extension (again, wired straight through) cable, rather than extending it from the headphone connections.- Torq

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
The picture shows three temperatures. The outer white rectangle is the case temperature of 93.6F (so cooler than body temperature). The second, smaller, rectangle is the average of the output stage, at 102.8F, and the final temperature of 113.7F is the hottest point of the internals as a spot...- Torq

Selling some random items I have hanging around. All are in perfect condition, and come from a smoke, child, pet, cologne and COVID-19 free home and, unless otherwise noted, are complete and in original packaging: Meridian Explorer2 (No box; DAC/amp, pouch and cable only) - $110 Dayton UMM-6...- Torq

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I know of at least one SR1a user that ran into the situation you're experiencing, and it turned out to be that the SR1a headphone cable was at fault, with an impedance mismatch between the left and right channels. The impedance of the SR1a drivers is so low, that even small variations in cable...- Torq

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
To be clear, I’ve never had any clicks and pops using just the Hugo 2 ... only when 2Go is involved. And some retesting today hasn’t exhibited any clicks or pops with SD card replay via Rigelian or UPnP/DLNA via mConnect. I must not have retested those since the firmware update ... since >95%...- Torq

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
Yep, multiple threads on it already. It screws the customer because, effectively, Roon allowed uncertified devices (presumably to build out a bigger array of "supported" hardware) and then have either not bothered to hold manufacturer's feet to the fire to complete the certification process or...- Torq

Chord 2Go & 2Yu Wired/Wireless Network streamer and S/PDIF adaptor - Official thread
Like others, I have little faith that Chord will get the 2Go certified by the cut-off, which will render it largely useless to me (still too poor a UX and/or not reliable enough). So as others have said, issues with the unit (which I've also had to enable more than once since I got it; I found...- Torq

If I had two heads, I'd keep them. If I still needed to keep a set in another location ... I'd keep them. Hell, if they don't sell quickly ... I'll keep them!- Torq
