Audioengine A2 vs A2+
So my A2's just gave up and I'm looking to replace them as quickly as possible. Only thing is they now offer the A2+... I'm only playing stuff from Spotify on my iMac, will I notice any difference from the USB connection vs using the headphone jack or is not worth the extra cash? ...- Timmac

The Jeans-fi thread
A.P.C are unbelievably boring though but yeah, apart from these two, most seem to start at 30 edit: oh and cheap monday, but I can't find anywhere that sells them in the UK.- Timmac

The Jeans-fi thread
ah, not really a fan of the shiny thing :/ its a shame because I've seen them unworn and the coating looks really cool, if the coating just started to ware off after a while to show the denim it would be pretty cool imo. Looks like I'll just be looking at the 'drys' then, are the 'stretch dry'...- Timmac

The Jeans-fi thread
http://shop.nudiejeans.com/system/search/product.asp?id=1989&rnum=4 Can someone explain how these, the black coated indigo, will change over time? I've read contrasting things. I've seen pictures of these just looking really shiny, like tight leather. If they get like this, will the shine...- Timmac

New Shure SE215 - First Impressions
Ok so here's my (relatively non-audiophile) view after a week of these. First of all, build quality is superb. I can see why Shure sell these with a two year warranty, doubt they get many people calling it in! The cable is hench and massively long, I wish the split (which is equally beasty)...- Timmac

sony mdr-ex85 'half in ear' style iem's
Owned a pair of sony mdr-ex85's for a while now, but my phone nuked one of them today by deciding to play 'choons at full volume as soon as I pugged them in :) The reason I used these was mainly because of the style- I cannot fit normal 'barrel' iems into my ear, at least not without...- Timmac

New shure se215
Yea, quite brave of them to enter at this price point! However, having detachable cables really sets them apart- effectively makes them last for ever, and that defiantly means a lot. Anyway, knowing me by the time these come out I will have broken my current 'phones and will despiratly...- Timmac

Cheap(er) bass?
Quote: Yea, shame. But I'm not really worried about these, they do sound very nice but I'm not a fan of only being able to wear these over ear, I'm going to be using whatever I get casually and need to be able to take them on and off a lot. I'll have to wait a while before I can...- Timmac

Cheap(er) bass?
Quote: Thanks for the help man, really appreciate it. However, the eterna's and the Hippo's are too expensive to fit my current budget. I'll definatly look more into the Jazz/m11. Especially since the Jazz are so cheap atm. hmmm...- Timmac

Cheap(er) bass?
Quote: why is it so difficult to choose... But just to clear things up, do you think these three (or two, considering you haven't heard the jays) are the best to choose from? I'm definatly looking at the a-jays three btw.- Timmac

Cheap(er) bass?
Sorry for the double post, I didn't see this one. How much are these? I can't seem to find many places that sell them. How do they compare to the a-jays? Going to be loads better, or just marginally? The jays come with a lot more accessories, which I'm quite partial to thanks for...- Timmac
