    Sennheiser HD555 appreciation thread.

    Out of curiosity, I got a new HD555 yesterday. I was not impressed out of box, connecting to Marantz CC-65SE headphone jack. I kept it playing for ~10 hours, now it opens up a little bit. But it sounds much better on a headphone amp. Soundstage opens dramatically. I will keep burning...

    the PK3 might be a little better in bass. however, when it comes to clarity and balance, PK2 is the winner. I have both earbuds. They are great on portable players, and you don't need to buy an amp. I find myself listening to IEMs more since they have much better isolation on subway
