Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

At home, I have used the Fiio uBTR to good effect with headphones. It is a good, inexpensive option but you won't get the benefit of ANC that the Focal Bathys offer when out and about. https://www.fiio.com/%CE%BCbtr

    AURALiC owners unite!

No remote afaik. Instead, Auralic's Lightning DS app is used to control the Altair. Roon is even better. According to HiFi Choice, the DAC chip is ESS9038Q2M based. Their review of Altair G1.1 is here and well worth a read: https://us.auralic.com/blogs/news/lightning-conductor-altair-g1-1-review

    Audeze LCD-4

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new LCD-4 headphones! Being the Luddite I am, I too shared your perspective on EQing music for many years. But the combination of LCD-4 and Roon was a revelation; applying the Audeze preset in Roon completely transformed the headphones for me...

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

I was able to home demo the Empyrean recently, which were themselves a demo unit so already had some hours on them. To my ears, they were accomplished, accurate monitors, comfortable, safe and non-fatiguing. But they lacked soul. I just couldn't connect with my music, irrespective of genre. I...

CanJam London 2022 Impressions Thread (July 30-31, 2022)

Massive thanks to all who have taken the time and trouble to post their impressions and photographs over the past few days. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the show this year, so it is extremely helpful to see and hear about it all through your eyes and ears. Mind you, my wallet is...

Yes, just go to the CanJam Reception desk on arrival and buy your ticket there. Buying your ticket in advance, though, saves time on the day.

    Audeze LCD-4

Thanks for sharing your impressions of the convolution filters. I had seen Chris and Mitch talk about these on the AS forum and wondered how easily they integrated with Roon. Very easily it appears! I take it the Audeze presets, which I currently use, are replaced by the convolution filters, or...
