You can get HD 598's sold by Amazon for 187 USD right now I don't know what that is in CAD though.

Well even if they do sound "different" do you think that sound would be something that would mix well with my expectations? I want something that's going to make me want to head bang and amp me up, maybe something not so neutral more of a excited sound?

Okay thanks, the only reason I was thinking about upgrading is because I thought I wasn't getting the full potential out of my 598's. I guess if no one else has a varying opinion, I will just hold off.
