For those keeping track of these things...   I was one of the first to receive a pair of M1060s (last Saturday) and so far no connector problems or wood cracking.   I am just south of the Los Angeles area.

  I have never heard the HE400 but I have an HE400i and HE400s.  I've always felt the HE400i/HE400s are somewhat lacking in the sub-bass department even though they are great sounding neutral and somewhat analytical headphones.     In my opinion, the M1060 has much better bass presentation...

What the are you talking about? This is not ENTITLEMENT. We all purchased a product under the assumption that the warranty was 5 years and now they switch it to one year on us. That is not entitlement. That is simply expecting what you were told when you purchased a product How would you like...

FYI,    In my opinion, the M1060s are pretty efficient.  I have been using them with my Project Polaris and Vali 2 but I was able to power them reasonably loud directly with both my iPad mini and my Nexus 6 smartphone.   A headphone amp is obviously best, but you won't need ridiculous...
