Yeah you are right.  For some reason its not coming up from my home IP but from my smartphone it does.  Who knows?       But in any case, I just saw that under the Monolith Series section on my smartphone the M1060 image says "Coming Winter 2017"    What do you guys think that means?

Sure looks like the M560.  Same 56mm driver.   Never heard of the company.    BTW, is the Monoprice website down at the moment I haven't been able to access it since last night?

For those keeping track of these things...   I was one of the first to receive a pair of M1060s (last Saturday) and so far no connector problems or wood cracking.   I am just south of the Los Angeles area.

Great analysis!     True, the M1060 and the HifiMan have different sound signatures, the HifiMans being much more neutral, less bassy and perhaps slightly better treble.  They also all require quite a bit more power except for the HE400S which has similar power requirements..     I also...

I have to agree. Also, that part of the wood is very thin and can easily crack.

In my opinion, the M1060s vocals don't seem so pushed back but I guess it might depend on what headphones you are comparing them to.

You can't.  That was a Black Friday deal for B-stock product, probably Audeze needed some quick cash or had to clear out some inventory.   So yeah for $499 new the LCD2 probably is a better value, but there is only one problem: the LCD2 isn't $499.

True, planar magnetics have lots of leakage because the sound exits symmetrically out the back of the driver.     On the other hand, maybe you shouldn't turn the volume quite up so much because if its so loud that it will disturb your grandparents in another room, think what it might be...

Just the fact that you are trying to compare a $299 headphone vs a near top the line $1000 Sennheiser says a lot.       Yeah.  Seriously, these are planar magnetic which have an inherently different sound signature than dynamic headphones.  And yes I do agree that it seems like some...

The LCD2s clearly are great headphones, maybe you just had your expectations set a little too high.     I don't think anyone is saying that the M1060 are necessarily LCD-2 killers, just that they are similar sounding and cost a lot less money.  You got your LCD2s on a rare B-stock deal that...

I have never heard the HE400 but I have an HE400i and HE400s.  I've always felt the HE400i/HE400s are somewhat lacking in the sub-bass department even though they are great sounding neutral and somewhat analytical headphones.     In my opinion, the M1060 has much better bass presentation...

What the are you talking about? This is not ENTITLEMENT. We all purchased a product under the assumption that the warranty was 5 years and now they switch it to one year on us. That is not entitlement. That is simply expecting what you were told when you purchased a product How would you like...

FYI,    In my opinion, the M1060s are pretty efficient.  I have been using them with my Project Polaris and Vali 2 but I was able to power them reasonably loud directly with both my iPad mini and my Nexus 6 smartphone.   A headphone amp is obviously best, but you won't need ridiculous...
