Review by 'texashorn91' on item 'PS Audio GCHA Headphone Amplifier'

I bought this amp used here on Head-Fi. I gave the value 5 stars only because you can now buy it new for $500. The amp is clean and detailed throughout the entire frequency range, and I am happy I bought it. Bass-heads should stay away from it, because it sides with depth and detail over quantity.

    Arizona Meet - Saturday 9/25/10

Talked to the hotel here, and they have more than enough space for us. $250, Downtown Tempe on Mill Ave. Included all the tables and chairs we need.

    Arizona Meet - Saturday 9/25/10

Balderon, I'm glad you found so many people in the area, I hope they can make it out. I called a couple offices around ASU to see if there were any large conference areas that could be reserved, but couldn't get anything more than something in the library (~8 people). I'll call some other hotels...

    Phoenix-Scottsdale anyone?

I could host a meet, but I probably would not have enough space for more than five or six people. I have an apartment in Tempe. If we get enough people I don't mind chipping in on the hotel banquet room. Another good place to check would be local libraries, sometimes they have large conference...

Help me fix my UE Super.Fi 5's

Clem, I'm barely out of warranty. Very frustrating. It is the very end of the cable, specifically where the cable is connected to the jack. I was thinking the same thing, someone could just cut off the end and have a new jack or the same one soldered on again.

    Phoenix-Scottsdale anyone?

I'm definitely interested, I'm in Tempe/ASU, I'll even host if it is small enough.

Help me fix my UE Super.Fi 5's

Recently one side of my Ultimate Ears IEM's went out, and looking through the UE support page I found that it was caused by a cable issue, which I confirmed. When I push around on the end of the cable by the jack, I can get both to work for a few seconds.   Basically, I don't want to buy a...

Thousands of dollars of headphone gear + college campus = ?

I would take it. Music is a great way to relax, and relieve some stress (at least for me). I just got through with living in a HUGE dorm, and now I'm moving into an apartment for my sophomore year. I never had any problems with people stealing things, heard a couple of cases of laptops being...

So, my wife just gave me a reason to buy a turntable...

It's definitely easy. Like Ron, I got into vinyl a year or so ago and I have no problems finding good records. It's all about having good record stores locally. If not, you can always pick some up at a place like music direct. I say go for it!

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.

I've had these for a little over a year, and I loved them until last week one side started getting staticy, and then eventually stopped playing altogether. Is it possible to have blown these? I don't listen very loud. What should I do?

Do you have any suggestions? By "classic" do you mean this is something improved upon significantly in the 650? Thanks

How to start building a speaker setup coming from headphones

Can anybody clarify this? I was thinking that bookshelves may be more cost effective, but then I would have to put them on stands and purchase a sub, and this would be taking up the same amount of room as a good size floorstander would. I don't know anything about room acoustics.
