Whatever you decide you should probably hurry up; DX90 has been discontinued & only a few units left at B&H.  I finally bit the bullet & picked one up last month.  Haven't heard X5 gen. 2 but moved up from X3 gen. 1 - no comparison; I absolutely love it!  Good luck.
