    Need adhesive to fix HFI-580

Hello there folks, My old HFI-580s have gone through countless modifications and repairs, but I think it might be time to call it quits. As you can see the metal shield on the left cup is detaching, and any time there's a bass note the shield flaps around and vibrates in an extremely annoying...

Review by 'Tardisk' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH ANC23 QuietPoint'

Really excellent for travel, as they're quite comfortable and have excellent noise cancellation for the price. My one complaint is that the cable is a bit short, and makes a good deal of noise. Furthermore, the rubbery plastic coating makes awful tangles in your pocket. Otherwise a fantastic...

Where do I go from here?

I'm not quite sure which forum this belongs in, but this seemed like an ok start.   About four three years ago, I got myself a pair of HFI-580s, and I've loved them ever since. I listen to at least three hours of music a day, and making music is a very big part of my life. I've been powering...

FIGHT THE BEATS HYPE (Ultrasone HFI-580/HFI 580 appreciation thread)

Oops. So sorry. The DJ-1s are 580s, the DJ1 Pros are 550s. Sorry...

FIGHT THE BEATS HYPE (Ultrasone HFI-580/HFI 580 appreciation thread)

Quote:   You seem to be confused... Binaural is a method of recording using two microphones inside artificial ear canals to record beautifully simulated 3d sound. Circumaural means headphones go all the way around your ears. The 580s are circumaural.    The DJ-1s are just 580s...

    Fiio E7 , HFI 580, HP-3... Decisions, decisions.

That doesn't solve my HP-3 or sound card problems though.

    [Review] An Unorthodox Report: Beats

Quote: It surprised me that you compared the 580s to the M50s in terms of mid recession. I find that the 580s have very nice mids... But then again, its all personal preference.

    Fiio E7 , HFI 580, HP-3... Decisions, decisions.

I currently own a pair of HFI-580s, which I love. I also own a pair of Yamaha HP-3s, which really can't function properly without an amp. My computer has a god awful soundcard: It hisses, and literally makes little beeping noises whenever I change the volume. Seeing as I sometimes use my...

FIGHT THE BEATS HYPE (Ultrasone HFI-580/HFI 580 appreciation thread)

Seeing as I adore my 580s, I felt obliged to post here. Seeing as my previous cans of choice were the M30s, the 580s have been a huge leap upwards in SQ. I love them. They do a fantastic job of isolating, not to mention the impeccable job they do at reproducing Muse's bass lines. :D Yay for 580s!

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

I am yet another of the hundreds of relatively new members on this site. I have what I would consider an average headphone inventory (HFI-580, ATH-M30, Yamaha HP-3), and I am extremely happy with all three of these headphones, but I would like something to wear outdoors that sounds nice, has...

    5.1 Surround. Not headphones...

First off, I know this is a headphone forum. I did a quick google search for other high end audio forums, but this one popped up anyway. If anyone knows of a better place to post this, please tell me.   I currently have a basic two speaker+subwoofer system set up in my room. It is comprised...

    Limits of Noise Canceling Headphones

Lol. What plane was it? It was a Boeing 767-400. I was seated about row 34, which is four seats behind the wing, meaning I had large amounts of hot air blowing just below my window, along with the brunt of the noise one of those engines makes.
