  So true. In my case, I have been happily stuck with SinglePower MPX3/AKG K501 combo for the past 10 years.  So it's the source and portables that, hm, hurts my wallet :)   (and it might be just me but while a CD player can last 10+ years, my Mac does not....)

  I have two blue Westone MMCX cable and one black one. All three works fine with SE535/846.

I recently got an used Beat Titan (current Supernova according to the seller) from a fellow head-fier.   For me, with Shure846/530/UE900, it sounds similar with HL Liz (can't remember which number), but is far less microphonic. 

my waiting is over. And am happy with his work.

Anyone else waiting for Brian to complete your order.  I have been waiting since Feb and he does not reply to my email. About to contact PayPal to see if I can get refund, but was curious if there is any info on his workload.   Feels like he is trying to be a SinglePower Jr. :P

Just a bump while listening to my K501 with Enigma Cable.   And I wish they were still in business. I have a spare pair which I would like to re-cable one day.

you mean the short one?   Metal base and non metal base long bottle sounds very different from the short bottle. And metal base and non metal base sounds different from each other too. 

my 530's left wire stopped working. Checked Shure's website and they replace broken 530 with 535 for $240.  I will try this after Xmas.

bixby,   thanks, yes I can picture it now. But can't say I understand. Very interesting though :)   Zoom,   if you ever do that experiment, please post result.   So far I prefer Tohisba external HD to U32 Shadow - both 1T version - have not tried other types of storage.
