I use the L9 with my iPhone and iPod into an e07k and it sounds fine.  I'm finding that it depends on what kind of setup you have whether you need ot go over the top on an LOD or maybe invest in better cans first.   If you are interested in a, let's say silver braided LOD, and are anywhere...
