Comparisons: 36 of the Top Closed/Portable Headphones Around
I bought the over-ear Senn M2's ($242) and the Senn HD439 ($42). The HD439 fit my needs better and saved me $200. Yes, the M2's sounded better, with very pleasant mids and low end. The build quality was great. And I could see the comfort being very good if my ears were 10% smaller (amazingly...- suncake

VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread
Those look like a really good value. Unfortunately, the 215's have taught me that I prefer cable-down designs and find the permanent cable guide too bulky. For $10, the first-gen MEElectronics M9 looks like a good value, but it's unclear whether I'd prefer its sound to my CX300's. I liked...- suncake

VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread
After about 5 months and nearly half a dozen emails asking them what's going on, I got a replacement to my faulty VSD1S via BigBargainOnline (ebay). Considering I still had to pay to ship them to China, this was in no way worth the effort/time. I ended up having to buy replacement headphones in...- suncake

VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread
I ended up packing up my broken earphones in a <1 oz envelope and returning them to HK for $6 (first class international, USPS). When (if?) I get my replacement, I was thinking about going to town with some heat shrink tubing, but I'd also like to hear if anyone has other recommendations. As...- suncake

I'm going to blame that on the UK proliferation of a "jack plug"...even though I'm from NA :D Anyway, the issue is more the strain relief, or lack thereof.- suncake

VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread
Ugh. I'm sick of IEMs with cheap jacks. I barely had the VSD1S for 30 days and one of the channels is shot. Considering they're about $40, it's not going to be worth the cost/trouble of sending them back to HK, assuming the ebay seller is even willing. Same thing happened to my GR02 bass...- suncake

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Got my He-400's about 5 days ago. Liking them, for the most part. Comfort-wise, they don't hold a candle to my Senn HD590's (or DT770's, or HD448's), but that was to be expected from their weight. I feel I'm sensitive to uncomfortable headphones (had to return my Grados, hate all on-ears...- suncake
