av710 won't work on new linux install
hi all, i'm running debian etch and have just tried to install a chaintech av710 card. i'm having some issues. what i know: the motherboard sees the card: the ice driver doesn't seem to want to load: and alsactl store and restore give no output. oh and my irqs look really strange...- stinkpot

ok, so i was being silly earlier - remeasured just now and got about 20 mA - much more reasonable! nevertheless, my 7805 voltage regulator gets awfully hot - so hot that i can't really touch it. its stepping about 16V down to 5V. is that normal (that it gets so hot)? should i get a heat sink...- stinkpot

old amp suddenly sounds faint - easy to fix?
