I'd like to join too. I'm not absolutely sure but I should be able to make it. If i do come I will most likely be bringing a friend, this is okay right? I can bring an AMB Y2 dac, the cavalli compact tube hybrid and an HD650. What I am most interested in hearing are a B22, orthos, and stax. 

If the y2 output is crackly and the y1 output is fine combined with both the usb and optical being the same, it might be a bad solder joint on the y2 dac's left output pins. A few weeks after i built mine it started crackling in one channel and it turned out that there wasn't enough solder on...

I have this problem even with the stock cable. I just push it back in whenever it starts to get loose.

If you have some diy skill you could go for an AMB Gamma 2.  It can easily be built for your budget. Or you could commission one from a professional builder.
