Playback speed change depending on output type??? A&K SP2000 and Sabaj

Connection path: A&K SP2000 USB-C out --> USB-IN on Sabaj D5 DAC, analog out --> Bose Wave (speakers). First time connected this way, and I was playing songs I know very well. Immediately noticed that they sounded like they were sped up. For funsies, I started a song, started the timer on my...

I disagree that the volume control is "dangerous". That's like saying a can of bug spray is dangerous because you can point the nozzle in your eye. But I do agree that there should be a software "max volume setting" option, that you can turn on/off as you see fit. And it does have a manual...

Isn't there also a copy of the manual on the player?

Thank you. I have a Tidal account, and downloaded both. I'll give them a couple of listens on the SP2000, and also directly from my laptop and report back.

Is there a specific song I can download to make a direct 1-1 comparison with what you're hearing? I'd like to test this out. Thanks.

I had the AK240 (non SS), and loved it for years. Finally upgraded to the SP2000. How is it different? Same high quality sound, same sound "profile" in my opinion. But WAY more power, and the soundstage is opened up to a level that is just crazy compared to the AK240.

I'm right there with you. Is Output Impedance a real thing? Yes. What does it mean? Nothing.

IMHO, it's like asking what are the best speakers for a McIntosh receiver. Both the SP1000/amp and SP2000 are so good, and have so much power, you should be free to choose the IEM's that you prefer. They should drive any IEMs with gobs of clean power. If that makes sense?

I bought the clear-plastic SP2000 case off ebay, the one that is selling for $30-ish. Shipping wasn't bad at all, considering it was sent from China. I like the case a lot. Fits great, has a nice/soft texture, so it's easy to pick up, doesn't slide around, etc. And the thinner case at the...

The SP2000 has gobs of clean power, and plays every file format. IMHO, the answer is "whatever you like", there shouldn't be any reason you can't drive your favorite IEMs with this beast. Is it perfect? Nothing is perfect. But it will play/drive anything, and sounds amazing.

Are you copying them to the Music folder in the internal memory? How big is the file transfer you're trying to do? You should certainly be able to copy multiple folders at a time, and in sizes up to at least 100GB at a time.

IMHO, it all depends on your headphones. In my case, I have hard-to-drive cans, and really do need the extra power. If you have low impedance, headphones or IEMs, the power output from the SP1000 is definitely enough. And the longer battery time is a bonus.

I haven't auditioned a pair of Campfire Audio IEM's in a while, but from what I've heard/read, they're pretty much all good. The Solaris/SP2000 combo should be perfect.

Jalo's post is one of the best I've read on Head-Fi on a long time. Well said, sir. Myself, I had an AK240. I loved it. The only thing I didn't love was the output level. I had to use an amp with my HD650's. Thought about the SP1000 (and Kann Cube) for a while, but held out for the SP2000...

This is a common issue with Very Large File Transfers, especially when the files are very, very large. By that, I mean single files over 50GB, or big directory transfers of over 400GB. You have to remember, even though you can have 512GB internal, and another 1TB on a thumb-nail sized card...
