iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******

After installing new firmware, my DX160 was also laggy, for example, choosing a song. But after using a while, it improved. At now Mango Player works as smoothly as before. And about sound quality, it seems good.

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******

I don't use Lurker. And I am using NOS of course. The thing I was thinking was something to compensate the bass weakness of NOS filter. At now, I compensate it with parametric equalizer. I am thinking, but can't say it clearly. I like the clearness of NOS filter. The center image never...

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******

New firmware of DX160 will come, but what improvement will iBasso achieve? MQA8x? Some changes at digital filter (including NOS) ? Hmmmm. My poor head can't imagine.

    The Stax Thread III

STAX is STAX even now, not Edifier. I know the stubborn men of STAX. I believe in the information only from STAX. Not Edifier.

    The Stax Thread III

STAX is making new omega? I don't think so. SRM-400S and SRM-500T are just replacement model. Anyway, by the corona virus, there are no real portable audio show for a year or more. There is too little information. And Press? STAX will not reveal the new products before they completes. I just...

Thank you very much for your kind and detailed answer!

    Astell&Kern A&futura SE180 - The First Modular DAP from Astell&Kern

Hmmm. First Portable Player With Interchangeable All-In-One Sound Modules? In A&K products line? Thinking fairly, the first dap which has changeable DAC+AMP+Output unit would be Cayin N6ii. Is there something new in SE180?

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

The thing I'm interested in is if reading speed of data affect the sound quality. Not theoretically but if human sense can differ it. And stability I said is not about data itself, but the stability of data flow from memory(microSD) to dac and amp. I don't know where is the problem. Contact...

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

"Basically" it is right. Looking only at memory cells, it is right. But memory controller and interface are big difference between microSD and SSD. So the performances are different. MicroSDs sound the same as SSDs? I hope it so much. Sometimes try microSDs and dissatisfied with sound quality...

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

I visited a portable audio shop in Akihabara yesterday. And tried Cayin N3 Pro if my SSDs could operate. Unfortunately, none of my SSDs could. Optane memory could not be connected. SATASSD(Western Digital Blue) was connected, but very unstable. It was only 5~6 minutes' listening, so I think it...

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******

I like the analogue-like sound of iBasso DX160's NOS filter. I listened to analogue vinyl sound for over 30 years. But no DAPs made me feel like listening to analogue sound. Even A&K SP1000 nor Cayin N8 did. DX160 made me feel like that first. So for me, DX160 is more precious than much more...

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

Thank you for the information. Yes, I know I can't judge whether a SSD is usable with a DAP with limited data. I will carry my SSDs to the portable audio shop and will try them there. I hope my Intel optane memory will work stably. But if any of my SSDs works, I will be happy.

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube

I tried M2 NVMeSSD, SATA SSD and even optane memory with Cayin N8 and iBasso DX160. And I know that in portable cases, perhaps because of conversion chips in the case, the speed difference is not so big. Even fast NVMe SSD can't operate at full speed. I understand other people say that SATA SSD...
