Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

I'm very happy with any of three Fostex from Massdrop...I got all three, added a little felt padding inside, and rotate them depending on the album, and no need for more....after a lot of years looking for the closest, if not better to the almighty Sony R-10, and very comfy...a lot of...

To me the question will be the other way around, honestly, if there is any IEM that sound like a full-size headphone, if it exists?....but what do I know? I'm now torturing myself listening to the ER-3SE and trying to make amends to what I'm missing from the Fostex full size, to see if at the...

The earbud do not fit my anatomy very well I have a fitting issue with them that is why I got into iem that go deeper into the ear channel, I never expected anything serious out of them till I got my hands on the Klipsch...with the same issue for me on the highs...I always wanted to try the etys...

One thing I had learn along this travel in time and sound, in all these years is that there is no such a thing as one size fits all. I do not care a little bit if the headphone is flat or not, if I like the sound, I like it, if not, I pass....and so far it seems that I have known a few people...

Let's agree to disagree...I still have to hear yet an IEM that come close to my Fostex in any area...the ER3SE is a joke in comparison...but different persons have different hearing, different tastes and at the end nobody knows how the recording is supposed to sound like...unless you made it...

Saying that planar outperform dynamic is a little gross generalization I think, planar as a technology tend to lack the bass extension, and impact on the lower frequencies, same as electrostatic, also in speakers they have the same issue...and all armature I have heard to the date, not too many...

It seems that then the 4B should be the way to go in my case...while I was browsing the Ety page for info and even while I ask on the chat they have I was given the wrong info about the driver just being not matched the same way and different tuning...it seems that is more to this that for some...

Unfortunately not, but if one day found one cheap, or maybe someone willing to let me try one I will, but I will not spend more money on IEMs...the ER3s if I read correctly I believe use same armatures as the er4 , just not match so close and maybe different tuning...maybe I'm wrong, but how...

My very personal opinion, and I still own, and need IEM for isolation and traveling purposes, and office use, is that none of the ones I have tried, and even I tried one prototype multidriver in one of the Head-Fi meetings a long time ago, that at the time costed over a thousand dollars, and...

So the adapter should be 23ohms, or 75 ohms...???? Which will give you a little higher boost on the highs...

None taken...no need to apologize man...I'm just trying to put things in perspective...OTOH, you can be a 6 month member with a lot of experience with IEM, and that is exactly whom I'm trying to get help from...people with more experience than me with IEM...

Please, I'm not a newbie asking for help...I got customs once, and I still go the molds inside my fridge, like 10 years now maybe, no way I will use again them, very uncomfortable, and same dull sound...my experience is that IEM, no matter the price, will never perform at the same level of...

The problem with the new phones is that they adjust the output according to the impedance they see on the output, they can drive ones very loud, others as mainly all IEM I have tried, seems to have problems with the output, and it decreases it, if you connect a blank plug, or an extension, alone...
