Will an DAC/Amp improve Shure SE535 LTD?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a pair of Shure SE535 LTD, and I'm loving the sound quality of it thus far. I've always enjoyed the Shure sound signature, and also plan to buy the Shure SE846 as well. I was wondering if using an amp/dac with these gems could improve their sound even more...

    Shure SE425 in 2019...

I'm not Shure about you guys but I think the SE425 is quite a bit underrated. I know there are so many in ears better than the Shure SE425 in 2019, but I think they have such a unique laid back sound. Also they seem to respond very well to eq, as I have somewhat turned it into a warmer sounding...

    Shure SE535 LTD in 2018?

I am currently interested in purchasing the Shure SE535 LTD. Is it still worth it in 2018 especially considering it's price and the wide availability of many other great in ear monitors around this price range. I currently own the Shure SE425 and use to own the Shure SE215.

Looking for a Sony XB90EX alternative?

o Do consider the Sony MDR 7550. To date it still has the best bass of any in ear that I have tried. It even beats the bass quality of the Shure SE846(all filters considered). It's just so deep and punchy and so fun to listen too! Coupled that with the decent highs and marvelous...

Looking for a Sony XB90EX alternative?

The Sony MDR 7550 is an absolutely wonderful in ear to own. It's bass is possibly the best bass of any in ear that I have tried, and that includes the Shure SE846 with bass filters. The mids are also very lush and full, and the treble extends decent enough with some roll off in the higher...

Sony MDR 7520: Is it worth the asking price?

Well after a couple months of deciding between in ears and headphones, it looks like it's settled, I'll be getting the Sony MDR 7520 on the first day/week of September. Can't wait to try it!!!:)

best IEMs for <$300 (better than SE535)?

Well for $300 and under, there are many great options in terms of IEMs. I always thought the Shure SE535 was a bit overrated and overpriced for what it really is. I have tried Shure's entire modern SE line, including both the SE846 and the KSE1500, and will conclude the best value for money in...

    Need Help Looking For Headphones

Ok based on your preferences i suggest giving the Shure SRH 840 a look. On average, it may cost $50 more than your desired budget of $150, but keep in mine it comes with a detachable cable and spare ear cups as well as a fairly neutral sound signature that should suit all types of musical needs...

Sony MDR XB60EX? Which IEM is like them?

Yeah, the Sony XB90EX are very similar, and they are much better. Unfortunately they are discontinued :( Maybe look at Sony's MDR-EX750 or Sony XB70AP.

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 vs. Shure SRH240A vs. Sony MDR-EX750

Wait, where did you find a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over ears for only $125. They usually cost like $299. If this is the case then for sure go for the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0s. Just avoid the Sennheiser Momentum in ears. :)

    $1000 budget, best straight-down iems?

Only problem with that is OP wants to be able to wear the in ear straight down instead of over the ear like the Campfire Audio Andromedas and other in ear monitors.

    $1000 budget, best straight-down iems?

For a $1,000 budget, I would suggest looking at over/around ear in ear monitors. There aren't really that many "straight down" in ears at the higher end budgets. However since you prefer the "straight down" in ears, I would suggest giving the Sennheiser IE800 a good look. For roughly $600-800...
