I haven't A/B'd them as I don't have the same music on my iPod as I do my PC (I know weird, it's a long story), I'll get WAV files on both my iPod and PC that are the same and let you know.   I figure because everyone uses an external DAC with the iPod anyways why exactly would it matter...

It wasn't my ears. I wore it backwards to check. Luckily the driver i ruined was the more quiet one so once i get my new driver and solder it on ill check and see if its still somewhat more quiet than the left. If it is, I'll go dual entry.  

Just so you know I'm one of those guys that is a bottomless pit of questions. :)

Is there any benefit to running a cable to each cup instead of one cable to the left? It seemed to me that my left driver had more volume while listening but that might have just been the right driver being weaker.  

I've got limited funds otherwise I would :P. Would I benefit more from getting a FiiO e11, or using my existing Headroom Total airhead and spending more on a DAC?  

Ah I forgot to mention I have the 80 ohm version... If I find the treble to be a bit sharp on my ears at times would a tube amp kinda take that feeling away? I'm a fan of textured, warm sound.

Do any of you know whether a tube or a SS work better with a DT 770? I think I prefer the sound of tubes but I haven't ever been able to A/B them. Thanks

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I'm thinking of woodying my 770's and was wondering-how did you fix the wood to the plastic part of the cup? Did you dremel the end of the plastic cups off and slide the wood on there or is it covering the original cups entirely? Thanks
