    HIFIMAN Jade II Loaner Tour

    I finished working on my review a few days ago before the flu got the best of me. It is now up and available for everyone to read here: HiFiMAN Jade II review. I really like the headphones, less so the amplifier. If the latter costed less, bringing the total cost below $2000, I think the value...

    R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

    The official website says 512 GB. I am using the R5 as I type this with a 512 GB card and I can confirm it works without issues.

    R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

    This is how it's done on Shanling players, as an example. It's a useful feature and it's also present for USB audio on those players. I would like to see it on HiBy players, too.

    R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

    I've tested Android devices for almost 10 years now and no, it's not an issue with Android. It's an issue with poor touchscreen quality, just as on other HiBy-based players (e.g. Cayin N5ii). This can be somewhat corrected through software drivers, but if the hardware it's limited you can only...

    Shanling M2x - TIDAL || Wi-Fi || Both-way LDAC BT & BT Transmitter || Advanced USB transport || FW 2.7

    From his/her point of view the information given was indeed false. If you say "there is a difference in battery drain between high gain and low gain" without giving further explanation, one that does not know the difference between the two modes and tries (as he did) to listen to music at the...

    Shanling M2x - TIDAL || Wi-Fi || Both-way LDAC BT & BT Transmitter || Advanced USB transport || FW 2.7

    Yes, his/her question comes from a person who is not an expert, but that's totally fine. He is asking for clarification: he sees an apparent contradiction and is asking for further information. Please be more considerate towards others, we're all here to share our passion and not to shout at...

    Great job! I love the new features, especially the cover download (it works flawlessly!).

    iFi audio PowerStation - The Official Thread - New reviews at page 8 !!!

    Ok, so it seems you've got a ground loop. As for polarity, have you tried flipping the power cable? I don't know how power cables are in Indonesia, but here in Europe you can insert them in the power outlets rotating them by 180°.

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

    May I suggest a software such as Beyond Compare? I used it to rapidly and massively rename folders and files in my collection. I also used Linux shell scripts to do some stranger things and it worked perfectly well, though maybe that's not as good as an approach if you're not familiar with it.

    KB EAR Audio impressions thread

    Usually, yes. And that's because 2-pin connectors have larger pins and no parts that click. They can break, just as anything else, but it's rarer.

    iFi audio PowerStation - The Official Thread - New reviews at page 8 !!!

    I don't know about such improvements to sound, I haven't been able to hear any. What I could hear, though, was a bit of reduction in the background noise. My system is plagued by noise for some reason. Well, the PowerStation takes some away. It's now so quiet that I can only hear it when there's...

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

    I just noticed it was out. Judging just by the looks, it seems a new revision of the FA2. My FA2 never really worked, as it did not read microSD cards correctly and had a bad habit of messing the partitions, so I hope they did better with the FA3.

    KB EAR Audio impressions thread

    That would explain why my experience differs so much from that of @Dobrescu George. I really hope KB EAR can do better in the future with more consistent quality.

    iFi audio PowerStation - The Official Thread - New reviews at page 8 !!!

    iFi kindly sent me a unit and I have to say it's impressive. It's huge! And heavy, too. As far as build quality is concerned, this is really top notch. I haven't been able to test its noise-cancelling ability yet, but I should be able to provide you with some feedback on that in a few days, as...
