Brainwavz R1 Review
Quote: Strain reliefs are exactly the same, but they're not as fragile anymore due to the memorywire. Driverflex is the same (I used to have a pair of V1, got 2x V2 now), but it doesn't really bother me since I use the Comply Foam tips.- skyler

Brainwavz R1 Review
Had to send mine back for RMA because of some serious wear on the plug causing sound to drop (had them for about 4 months).. Was very happy with them until this happened. Not to mention the fact that shipping them back from the Netherlands apparently cost me just as much as a new pair did last...- skyler

Brainwavz R1 Review
Quote: My M5s also have some driver flex. I suspect I might be due to some glue or something smeared over the small opening in the housing near the nozzle.. Tried poking a hole through it (suggested by MP4Nation) but didn't have much luck. Anyway, I "fixed" it by using the comply foam tips...- skyler

Brainwavz R1 Review
Quote: They work perfectly fine with my Galaxy S III. I believe the Galaxy S has an old-skool TRRS connector (which has the mic and the ground swapped). Using a TRRS adapter like this one should fix it...- skyler

Brainwavz R1 Review
Quote: Mostly instrumental post-rock/post-metal. Sometimes metal, or trip-hop: http://www.last.fm/user/-skyler-/charts?subtype=artists I also own the M4+ and M5 (both with mic), and compared to those the bass sounds very full, almost boomy, especially with the triphop (as expected I...- skyler

Brainwavz R1 Review
Quote: Wearing mine straight down right now. Works perfectly fine as well :) On another note, I like the cable, it feels more sturdy than the one on the (new) M4+ and the M5. However, not too pleased with the strainreliefs on the housings and the top of the Y-split (which is actually...- skyler

UE 500 Mini-Review
Quote: I've owned several UE earphones over the years and with all of them I had problems with cable breaks near the plug. So I'm surprised that they still haven't fixed this yet.. I first bought a pair of MetroFi 170 (with the I-plug), which broke after a few months, I started...- skyler

[REVIEW] Brainwavz M4
Quote: I don't think so, but I do get the idea that the volume from the right unit (which has the mic in the cable) is slightly louder than the left. Which tends to move the soundstage slightly to the right.. Especially when listening to some of these mono sound...- skyler
