    Hey, you do need an amp, the box allows those to be used with a standard headphone amp (supplied cable is XLR specifically) rather than a special amplifier usually needed for them (as they are 0.2ohm).

    Nah, I liked it with azla tips, can't remember their name off the top of my head. (it wasn't clear or xelastec), also, it seemed relatively tip picky, so it could be a good tip rolling platform haha
