FiiO M3, Ultra-Portable|8G+64G|2.0" 320*240 TFT|50mW|FLAC/APE/AIFF|In line control|OGG, MP3, AAC, WMA |24 Hours|HiFi Earbuds
Are there going to be any more firmware updates for the M3? Two things that really annoy me 1. After selecting an album to play, you have to go back to the main menu and then navigate all the way through the folders to choose another album. Why can't you just go back a step to the...- SieB

Audiofly AF140 Triple Hybrid - AUSTRALIAN Tour Thread and Impressions
So after 1 year and 4 months the cable on my AF140 has broken Don't know if anyone else has had the problem where the cable gets twisted at the end of the 3.5 jack like I did, but it happened to mine. I really hope I can get them fixed or replaced as I really love the sound and I can't...- SieB

FIDUE A83 impressions and discussion thread
I have both, but you are comparing apples to oranges. The A83 is no where near the HD650 level of sound quality and they are a completely different sound signature. The A83 are bright, airy, thin and pretty neutral sounding. Whereas the HD650 are darker, have a much fuller bodied sound and are...- SieB

Audiofly AF140 Triple Hybrid - AUSTRALIAN Tour Thread and Impressions
I'm not sure about separate DAC/AMP combos to be honest, I don't have any experience with them. Up until a few months ago I had always used my phone for listening to music on the go until I got my FiiO X3ii. Which is what I would recommend, you can use it as a DAC and it has a built in amp...- SieB

Looks like the new XDuoo X3 would be a good match for the AF140 http://www.head-fi.org/t/782912/xduoo-x3-dsd-24bit-192khz-cs4398-chip-lossless-music-player Shame about the faulty right ear piece, but at least you know you like the sound of them. In my opinion they seem to get better...- SieB

Official X3 2nd gen beta firmware thread--FW1.44: library search, ReplayGain, high speed USB, DoP, D2P...
Been using the beta firmware for a few days now and the scroll wheel is perfect. Before it would constantly go to far or to short when trying to select tracks, now it goes exactly where I want it to :) -
The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote
I've not noticed any sound difference between using it as a DAP or DAC either to be honest.- SieB

Official X3 2nd gen beta firmware thread--FW1.44: library search, ReplayGain, high speed USB, DoP, D2P...
Just installed the new beta firmware and the scroll wheel is a lot more precise than it was before :) It doesn't skip past what I am trying to select and goes where I want it to now, good job FiiO! -

I think my ears could do with this, I dread to think how much wax is in them from wearing my IEMs and pushing the tips half way down my ear canal.- SieB

Audiofly AF140 Triple Hybrid - AUSTRALIAN Tour Thread and Impressions
I'd recommend using them with something other than your phone as a source. When I first got mine I used them with my Samsung Galaxy 3, they sounded ok but when I went from my phone to using my FiiO X3ii there was a pretty noticable change in sound quality. Maybe it is just the Galaxy 3 and...- SieB

Audiofly AF140 Triple Hybrid - AUSTRALIAN Tour Thread and Impressions
I have been listening to my Fidue A83 lately instead of my AF140, but tonight I went back to the AF140. The Fidue are good, but to me they are to bright and the sound lacks weight, they are also pretty analytical. The AF140 are more "musical", more atmospheric and the sound has a lot more...- SieB

Might not work as well with the spiraldots as it does with the normal silicone tips then. Or it might be the size, without the foam mod I use large silicone tips but with the comply's stuffed inside they are to big. The medium size ones are a perfect fit with the comply's inside though. ...- SieB

I don't have any cotton unfortunately, I suppose filling them with anything (within reason) would have the same effect. Depending on what you use, i'd guess there would most likely be a difference in comfort and sound though.- SieB
