Been using the beta firmware for a few days now and the scroll wheel is perfect. Before it would constantly go to far or to short when trying to select tracks, now it goes exactly where I want it to :) 

I've not noticed any sound difference between using it as a DAP or DAC either to be honest.  

Just installed the new beta firmware and the scroll wheel is a lot more precise than it was before :)  It doesn't skip past what I am trying to select and goes where I want it to now, good job FiiO! 

    I think my ears could do with this, I dread to think how much wax is in them from wearing my IEMs and pushing the tips half way down my ear canal.

  Might not work as well with the spiraldots as it does with the normal silicone tips then. Or it might be the size, without the foam mod I use large silicone tips but with the comply's stuffed inside they are to big. The medium size ones are a perfect fit with the comply's inside though.    ...

  I don't have any cotton unfortunately, I suppose filling them with anything (within reason) would have the same effect. Depending on what you use, i'd guess there would most likely be a difference in comfort and sound though.
