Doubt it's a typo. I'm pretty sure, they lowered the impedance, so that it would be louder than the Beats headphones with the same settings. Degrades the sound quality of course, but who cares, right? (lower damping, the amp distorts more) I wonder if the aluminum cups have some degrading effect...
