Is there anyway to throw in a "price change" option that'll allow the listing to be pushed back up to the top?   nevermind, i just figured out that the listings can sorted by update date! i had it sorted by creation date!

Yeah I have no doubt that HD650's can perform better but to be fair, you're comparing apples and oranges. SS vs OTL tube and the price difference... a $300 dollar amp vs a $500-600 amp. I would hope the Woo amps would deliver more so than the LD.   I think the Asgard tends to be very slighty...

I own a LD MkV and it gets warm but not hot (I also own a Schiit Asgard so that's my definition of hot). I sometimes run my MkV for 8-10 hours (sometimes with a HD650 or DT880 600 ohm) and I haven't experienced overheating or loss of power.

evverybody hears things differently but i think generally ppl say the tf10's do have recessed mids - they have V-shaped signature.

What's the grain issue?

some people have lower thresholds for discomfort! plus, there's so many competitors these days with ergonomic-friendly builds that it makes grado's seem spartan!

Has anyone tried the Valhalla with a Denon D2000/5000/7000 or Grado (ie low impedance headphone)? How do they pair up?

i had both (with hiflight topkit) and felt they were great together

i owned the se530's (at same time as um3x's) and to my ears they were more mid-centric and thick sounding but smoother than the westone's. I think that's partially because the shure's tended to be more rolled off in the highs. that's the 530's mind you, apparently the 535's are improved in that...

i think the um3x's bass is leaner and tighter but definitely still very present. however, the um3x tends to be more mid-centric so it's pretty different from the v-shaped qualities of the w3. i own the um3x and recently sold my w3's.   have you tried triplefi10's? they're fairly similar to...
