Apple-Fi (Mac's, iPhone's, All Thing Apple)
how does everyone feel about iOS 7? I was disappointed by the visual design of it at first, but I got to play around with it the other day on a friend's phone and it felt natural. The new gestures/transitions are awesome! Coming from using an iPhone 4 day in and day out, iOS 7 with an iPhone...- seetheforest

Are you rich enough for this hobby?
Quote: Absolutely. I rarely by products, but when I do I spend the $$$ to make sure it's high quality and will meet my expectations. I'd rather have five $100 shirts than a hundred $5 shirts, so to speak.- seetheforest

Windows 8...
Yeah my company is staying away from Windows 8 and I'm personally staying away from it as well. As someone who appreciates design, I don't want to use an OS with competing, disjointed design experiences in the same environment. I'm slowly transitioning to Linux/OSX.- seetheforest

What book are you reading right now?
I'm halfway through A Feast for Crows in the A Song of Ice and Fire series by GRR Martin. Sadly I find myself drifting through this book while being absolutely captivated by the first 3 books. Seems like the strong narrative and purpose of the first three is gone for now. :(- seetheforest

Is there really even a difference between 192 and 320kbs?
Quote: I agree. Getting 90% or 95% of the way to the real experience is enough for many users (me included). Worrying about lossless rips would be find if I was 100% sure that it was the weak link in my audio listening experience, but for now I'm not sure that's the case so 256/320 kbps...- seetheforest

PS4 vs XBOX ONE (What would you buy and why? No fanboy like comments please)
Quote: Sounds like it's time to update the TV. That makes sense if you are willing to go out and plop down $400+ for a new game console.- seetheforest

what are your top 5 RPGs?
Quote: Turn based like FF VII-IX. It looks like FF XV is going the hybrid route again, which is a shame. :(- seetheforest

what are your top 5 RPGs?
Are there any good/deep turn based RPG's that have been released lately? FF7, 8, & 9 were glorious experiences for me, but I really haven't followed the turn-based RPG world since the playstation days. I powered through FFX & XII, but didn't find them as captivating and the previous...- seetheforest

PS4 vs XBOX ONE (What would you buy and why? No fanboy like comments please)
My original 360 had the RROD and I've stayed away from Xbox since then. It's too bad because I do prefer the Xbox's controller and UI. I'll most likely go PS4, but I'm planning to wait a while before purchasing. There are never enough games in the library during the first year of a game console...- seetheforest

Is there really even a difference between 192 and 320kbs?
Quote: That's not a bad call, but realize that your computer and local storage options are enormous. Let's say you had 1+ TB storage handy. Then you could have FLAC, 320 Kbps, or equivalent "master" copies and make 192 Kbps copies for your digital media. Then maybe 5-10 years from now...- seetheforest
