Anyone happen to know when the HD800S will be purchasable in the US?

I am very eager to get my hands on the HD800S as soon as they are available. Unfortunately it seems like it won't be coming out anytime "soon" this year.

First pair had rattling internal parts in the driver. Second pair had a loose cable connector which clicked when the cable was jiggled / touched slightly. Forcing me to not move my head at all unless I wanted to put up with the clicking.   Honestly, I would probably prefer to return it and...

On my third HE1000 replacement, mainly surrounding build quality inconsistency. Hopefully third time's the charm.

Has anyone paired the HE1000s with the Ragnarok? What gain setting are you finding to be optimal for them?

Just received my HE1000 today and ordered a Silver Dragon cable for it. Are there any other modifications / upgrades that could be made to these headphones? I'm upgrading from an HD800 so I would say my biggest complaint would be the headband being too short and the earpads getting hot / feel itchy.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've gone ahead and switched them. It is still quite hot to the touch on the front and hard to notice any difference. Hopefully my unit is not defective and is operating within normal expected temperature behavior.
