Need help finding a balanced 4-pin XLR adapter

I actually managed to find this on eBay just now: Female input for the TRS plug of my headphone, to a 4-pin male XLR output for the balanced input on the amp. Would that not work?

Need help finding a balanced 4-pin XLR adapter

Ah, I see ... Thanks for making me aware of that. I've got the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohm, and was looking to connect it to the balanced XLR input on the Fostex HP-A4 BL. Would that be possible in any way, or no?

Need help finding a balanced 4-pin XLR adapter

Hi all, I would like to see if it is somehow possible to connect the 6.3mm (or the 3.5mm) Jack of my headphones to a 4-pin balanced XLR input on an amp. I was looking at some adapters, but the only ones I managed to find were Jack female to 3-pin XLR male … not 4-pin. Does anyone know if this...

I require your expertise! - My trusty DAC has died on me.

This is looking like my most promising option so far, thanks! I love that the amp has an output selection, though I have one question about that; I read in the manual that the output mode (headphones / speakers) is changed by holding the power button for at least 1 second - is this convenient...

I require your expertise! - My trusty DAC has died on me.

Just to add, it doesn't necessarily have to be a single unit. I have no problem buying a separate dac and amp, so long as it allows me to easily switch between my speakers and headphones.

I require your expertise! - My trusty DAC has died on me.

Thanks for the suggestion Ozz! It looks like a great unit, but I'm not a big fan of it routing the audio signal to the speakers or headphones depending on whether the headphones are plugged in or not. I would much prefer to have a switch so that I could I could keep my headphones plugged in at...

I require your expertise! - My trusty DAC has died on me.

Hi all, For almost 11 years I've been using the Dr. DAC2 DX on a daily basis for my PC/home studio setup, but for the past couple of months it has been producing a terrible distortion to the right audio channel every time I raise or lower the volume. I've been living with it, but it's now...

I have added a soundcloud link so that you can listen to the recording without having to download a file. I hope that is more convenient.

[HELP] - Studio Monitor Continually Cuts Out

Hello everyone,   For the last couple of days I've been having issues with one of my KRK RP5 monitors and I was hoping that any of you could either give me some advice, or perhaps tell me what's causing it.   I've been using these monitors for about 7 to 8 years now, but recently my left...

Any way to get the pops and clicks out of vinyl?

First of all, my apologies for the necro bump on this one. But I've got a similar issue.   I've been buying vinyl for the past 2 years or so now, at the moment I've got about 350 records so still a relatively modest collection. I take good care of all my records and all of them are still in...

Sound quality problem when playing Vinyl through Audacity.

Ah yes, ofcourse. Completely forgot about that. I'll add them to the thread ;)   Let's hope now that anyone on there could give me some further information on the subject.   And yes, I already found that on the internet too, that's where I noticed that the recommended tracking force for...

Sound quality problem when playing Vinyl through Audacity.

Thanks man, I will.   The webshop where I bought the tunrtable also has it's own forum where I already asked the same question so I''m waiting for a response now and hoping they might be willing to trade the cartridge.   I'll also have a look on VinylEngine, thanks for the tip. But I...

Sound quality problem when playing Vinyl through Audacity.

Yes, you are right, it does.   Quote:   Yeah I can try another one, but I'd have to buy one then. Which would'nt a problem ofcourse if you are sure that my current cartridge is what's causing the distortion.   Quote: Yes I think I agree... I also think that it's probably...

Sound quality problem when playing Vinyl through Audacity.

Quote: Hmm I see... Thanks again.   The cartridge that came with the TT is indeed 7,5mV, so is that bad for casual record listening? If so, what would you recommend me to get instead?   I also made the 2 recordings, one with the amp and one without it (I thought you might wanted...

Sound quality problem when playing Vinyl through Audacity.

Thanks for the help, Jiiteepee and Sterling! I really appreciate it and it sounds like you know what you are talking about.   Though I have a couple of questions because I don't entirely understand certain things.   - Sterling, could you tell me what exactly that 'ADC' is that you are...
