Help with Replacing Denon 3.5mm Jacks (on ear cups)
I've been looking at buying a pair of replacement jacks for my Denon AH-D7100 headphones. The left side of the original cable gave out and I bought a replacement cable set ($20). But now I want to fix the original cable. I notice the left and right jacks do not have a 3-pole plug but the main...- scrapser

Crackling Sound from Quality Headphones
Hey there, Thanks so much for your feedback. And you are correct. I should have thought about the cables right off but kept thinking about the various pieces of hardware. I discovered the problem with the cable is the left side plug/wire connection when I accidentally brushed against it with...- scrapser

Crackling Sound from Quality Headphones
I have a pair of Denon AH-D7100 headphones. I have a Headroom desktop DAC/AMP and recently purchased the Creative Labs AE-9 sound card and DAC. I also have a Denon AVR on my home theater system. When I listen to music or plays games on my computer, the headphones produce a crackling sound...- scrapser

Feenix Aria Studio-Grade Gaming Headphones
I'm wondering if they will require an amp to sound as they are advertised. I have a pair of Sennheiser PC350's and they need an amp but you wouldn't know it unless you read reviews by users or already have one.- scrapser

Questions about ADS L620 speakers
I have a pair of L620's. I'm the original owner and have had them since 1984. I put them on flat stands that elevated them about 24" off the floor. They are very good speakers in my opinion. Unfortunately I have not had the need to use them for the past 10 years or so and now with my Klipsch... -
Best closed headphone for electronic based music
You can order the TH-900's at Headroom for just under $2K. Right now they are out of stock but I was talking with them a couple days ago and they said they have a delayed shipment on the way. Due to the cost of those phones they don't order a lot at once for inventory. Usually they just say 1...- scrapser

New DENON "Music Maniac" & "Urban Raver" Lines: D7100, D600, D400 & C300 Impressions Thread
Quote: Thanks. The Fostex TH-900's tempt me even thought I haven't heard them. I've since learned they made the 7000's for Denon, so there has to be something to consider there. I'm sure the LCD's are very good but unfortunately they are not closed.- scrapser

Quote: Ah...okay I hear what you mean and agree. I have had maybe a half dozen different headphones over the years but never really paid much attention to them until the last year or so. Back in the late 80's I got some Stax headphones. They sounded great but I honestly didn't know...- scrapser

New DENON "Music Maniac" & "Urban Raver" Lines: D7100, D600, D400 & C300 Impressions Thread
Quote: Hi and thanks for your thoughts. $50? Are you saying anything after $50 is less worth it for what you spend? Or are you just pulling my chain? Maybe you meant $500. As to my statement, I was repeating what I've heard elsewhere. I do think there's something to it. For...- scrapser

Hello, This is my first post. I have the AH-D7100's and so far have been very happy with them. They are my first pair of high end phones. I received mine on August 1st from Crutchfield who apparently had them in stock long before anyone else that I could find. I was going to get a pair of...- scrapser
