DX200=Affordable High End Audio. Dual ES9028Pro dacs. AMP1, AMP3, AMP5, AMP7 & AMP8 ***Firmware support now up for AMP9***
I haven't been the biggest fan of the 200 in this thread so far, but I was willing to keep plugging away to try and make it work as a DX90 and DX80 owner. To me the 200 with Amp1 sounds like a 3 way speaker with a good woofer and midrange crossed over at 6k to a ratty metal dome tweeter...- Sanderman

This is hugely encouraging. How does it compare to the DX90? I find the 90 much more organic and natural than the SE or balanced out of the Amp1 DX200.- Sanderman

DX200=Affordable High End Audio. Dual ES9028Pro dacs. AMP1, AMP3, AMP5, AMP7 & AMP8 ***Firmware support now up for AMP9***
I reseated the amp module. Did it effect the brightness a little? Maybe. The sound from the unit is as though it is a 3 way speaker with poor driver integration. Like a cohesive but not particularly organic bass and mid crossed over to a ratty metal dome tweeter. So I finally received a...- Sanderman

Honestly guys. Tried again tonite after 24 more hours (475 hour zone). This thing is a poor alternative to the DX90. Wiry, inorganic and gutless hifi. The 90 is wildly better if you have any idea how live vs reproduced music sounds. I hope they come out with a new amp module. Or that...- Sanderman

450 hours plus now. Played a cut last night and heard weird wiry stuff going on in the hf. Played exact same thing on my DX90 and it was purer on top.- Sanderman

I'm really hoping balanced sounds better than the regular output. After using the DX90 and 80 for a while, I'm struck by this players wiry highs. Very "hifi" in a way that isn't good. This with Audeze Sines. I have a balanced copper cable inbound that I hope may turn this around. But, while...- Sanderman

Save the cynicism. I've been using DAPs for years and this is a new level of stupid. Quit covering for manufacturers who sell you products to do their beta testing for them. For a thousand dollars it shouldn't take scrounging forums and scanning redundant posts to figure out how to do 101...- Sanderman

Tried both ways. Neither works. Now I'm back to the usual buggy iBasso **** of the pc not seeing the SD card in the player while the player is hooked to the pc. Just like my DX90 90% of the time.- Sanderman

I've gotten past that and am now trying to update the January firmware. It just keeps hitting a screen that says "Checking the package.... Verifying failed, please check you package." Check my package indeed. Man this thing is buggy as hell compared to my DX90. I cannot update...- Sanderman

I get no icon on the lower left of the page. I boot it and it has a banner across the middle saying "New Sandisk SD card detected" Over and over and over again.- Sanderman

How do you actually use this thing? I got mine about 5 hours ago and whenever I turn it on it just says it found anew SD card. Zero documentation. Zero tunes. Zero usefulness after 2 hours of screwing with it to try to get it to do anything.- Sanderman

Spotted on Audiogon
I just saw this Moth Si2A3 on Audiogon: http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?ampstube&1325949556 I own one of these, but modded mine to an external power supply and separate heater supplies. You can find my posts on that process in my post history if you dig at it. Somebody should snap this up...- Sanderman

Not Spearit - actually a dealer I found on Audiogon years ago. I had been to the cable wars over the years (Purist Dominus, Nordost Valhalla, Kubala Sosna, Marigo, etc, etc etc.). Then I tried Siltech. The Emporers are amazing. The interconnects (Compass Lakes) are equally amazing. Keepers...- Sanderman
