Interest Check: Maryland/Jersey/Pennsylvania/Virginia Central East Coast Meetup?
I wonder if any co-working places like http://wespace.biz/gallery/ would be a viable option? Especially if a sponsor was willing to help with the costs!- s4parke

Mobile version of Head-Fi?
It may not take a separate mobile version to provide a good mobile experience... If the Huddler platform made some W3C-mobile ready tweaks and stylesheets to their BB, they could sell a lot more ads! http://validator.w3.org/mobile/check http://ready.mobi/launch.jsp?locale=en_EN ...- s4parke

Interest Check: Maryland/Jersey/Pennsylvania/Virginia Central East Coast Meetup?
Count me in!! At least two of my co-workers will ride up from Charlottesville with me. Glad to see this happening and happy to help however I can. We have plenty of mid-market portable gear (Amp/Dacs like Nuforce, Headphones, interconnects/power) along with some home theater components...- s4parke

HiFiMan EF2A trouble
I have a fairly new HiFiMAN EF2a with rolled tubes, about 3 weeks old, and it's sounding brilliant with my Sennheiser HD580s and IE8s with an Audioquest Forest USB DAC cable. I was pretty dismayed when I picked up my headphones and heard a distinct crackling and/or whooshing sound instead...- s4parke

Hifiman EF2A
I just got my EF2a in the mail today, and I'm enjoying the listening test. The provided 110V 50/60Hz -> 16V AC adapter should work in the UK, provided you have a 220V > 120V adapter; perhaps this is what you discovered.- s4parke

Headphones for both Aviation (Pilot) and Listening (SQ)
Quote: ...I have not heard the headsets you linked, but I do know as a commercial aviator, that the FAA approval process adds many dollars to the price of those headsets. Interesting, I can't seem to find any information that says a pilot is required to use an FAA-approved headset...- s4parke

Headphones for both Aviation (Pilot) and Listening (SQ)
Quote: ...but I do know that the DT190 is essentially a DT150 headphone with a microphone on it. Looks interesting! I'll have to crawl around to check out how the DT150 compares with other phones I've heard. Thanks to all for the info!- s4parke

Headphones for both Aviation (Pilot) and Listening (SQ)
I've recently become interested in general aviation, and have begun the path to get a private pilot certificate. One of the first orders of business is getting a decent headset that's comfortable, durable, has good sound isolation from cockpit noise (either active or passive cancellation)...- s4parke
