Thanks for the detailed response. How would you compare the denon d2000 or d5000s with Grado rs1is?

I have had my AKG K701s for a few years now and have been using the HiFiman EF2A amp/dac combo. From reading the forums it seems like the Schiit Lyr would pair a lot better with these phones. I find the low end to be a bit lacking with this combo and for many songs I have to turn the volume...

I am trying to decide whether to get the lyr or the valhalla for my akg k701's. I have read that the lyr pairs well with it, and I have also heard good things about the valhalla. Does anyone have any first hand experience comparing the two?
