    FiiO M6-Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

Btw, as far as a lack of CPU power, I suppose that's a legit grievance. But given that the last time I attempted an Android DAP was the Cowon D3 this thing flies in comparison to that DAP. I don't really use the Tidal app, although it seems to be acceptable when I kicked the tires a bit...

    FiiO M6-Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

It's not as good as I'd like it to be, but I went in knowing that it would be ~12 hours for music playback. And honestly now that I've owned it for a few weeks and kicked the tires, it's not that bad.....easily a full day of usage for me and that's the important thing. The USB-C is a good...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

This is my eventual concern with these types of devices. :frowning2: Would be nice to know if there's actually a way to DIY a solution that can be used, that's fairly cheap (I agree...$25 to risk damaging the device on my own doesn't sound appealing, but $25 for a vendor offering would be worth...

Thanks as well! Looking forward to kicking the tires on this.

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Same feelings here and very much appreciated. I am always rethinking my DAP setup and, eventually, I will be retiring my larger players and thanks to the M0 and the updates and support here I will be seriously considering one of those larger devices from them. A Happy New Year to all!

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Might be a time zone thing, I'm in EDT. So 5:44AM ET for me on that .bin file, but the replies here went past 6AM ET. Assuming the support team is ~10 hours ahead of my time zone I'm guessing we won't hear anything for at least a few more hours. Still holding off only given that there's no...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Might want to pull the update file as well, until this is resolved? I usually go there first before reading the forum here and downloaded the 3.0 update five minutes ago. Going to obviously hold off on using it given what I'm reading here but again suggest you pull that download link for...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Upgraded to 2.5 a few days back (like the clock feature btw) -- but the USB transfer speeds to my microSD, via the player, have dropped to ~500 KB/s on average. Anyone else having this issue? I already tried a reset but no dice, going to drop this back to 2.4 to see what happens. [EDIT] and...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I've noticed that also - when running for awhile, the time does drift a bit. As for it getting super out-of-whack with a dead battery, probably just something I'm unaccustomed to between small batteries keeping time in our tablet / laptops even when the main battery dies. And then for other...

You know you have too many DAPs when.....

Been having this issue recently - trying to consolidate between my various DAP's, and now a USB flash drive to use within my laptop / desktop.  It might be time to fully retire a few of these things and just stick with a minimum of devices.  :)

Disturbed Vinyl Box Set (Limited Edition)

I'm a fan and even though I went over my budget this month, I did get it.   Cosmetically it's fine except I have a tear on the LP cover for Asylum, so I'll see if the label will help me out with that (it's a fairly large tear, not a small ding).   As for the SQ, I've listened to The Sickness...

    Cowon Z2 (Next Cowon Player?)

Quote: There's really not much else Cowon can fix, at least performance wise, with the D3.   It's got a 82xx Telechips CPU and 256MB of RAM, which is just pitiful for 2012 (and it wasn't too great for 2011, either - that was strictly 2010 territory, for an Android device).   The...

    iTunes Match

Quote: Agreed - every solution has its pros and cons and people need to weigh them depending on their needs.   In your case, the main items are FLAC backups of CD's, so the Match service really isn't a big benefit to you, other than reducing the initial upload time.   And if you have an...
