[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
Btw, as far as a lack of CPU power, I suppose that's a legit grievance. But given that the last time I attempted an Android DAP was the Cowon D3 this thing flies in comparison to that DAP. I don't really use the Tidal app, although it seems to be acceptable when I kicked the tires a bit...- roebeet

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future
It's not as good as I'd like it to be, but I went in knowing that it would be ~12 hours for music playback. And honestly now that I've owned it for a few weeks and kicked the tires, it's not that bad.....easily a full day of usage for me and that's the important thing. The USB-C is a good...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
This is my eventual concern with these types of devices. :frowning2: Would be nice to know if there's actually a way to DIY a solution that can be used, that's fairly cheap (I agree...$25 to risk damaging the device on my own doesn't sound appealing, but $25 for a vendor offering would be worth...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Same feelings here and very much appreciated. I am always rethinking my DAP setup and, eventually, I will be retiring my larger players and thanks to the M0 and the updates and support here I will be seriously considering one of those larger devices from them. A Happy New Year to all!- roebeet

I definitely prefer the lack of stickers - would look gaudy on a player this small.- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Nice review and a lot of good points. In particular shoring up the real estate with the left icons as a few extra characters could go a long way. Maybe they can offer a way to turn that off as an option? I don't agree with the larger library though. I have a 200GB microSD in mine now and...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
I'm all for years of firmware updates, don't get me wrong. But three years was fairly rare even ten years back - two years was more the average from my recollection - two examples from my own collection are the Sandisk Sansa with two years of updates (a closer price point the M0 btw) and the...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Upgraded to 2.5 a few days back (like the clock feature btw) -- but the USB transfer speeds to my microSD, via the player, have dropped to ~500 KB/s on average. Anyone else having this issue? I already tried a reset but no dice, going to drop this back to 2.4 to see what happens. [EDIT] and...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
I don't generally use the M0 as a DAC, but just checked my Windows 10 build 1809 system (using the M0 USB driver INF) and it is working (USB/DAC both). I'm on firmware 2.3. Also pulled out my Lubuntu laptop, tried the device there and it's also working fine. Of note is that I'm seeing 24/96...- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
The time on mine has gotten out of sync at least twice - not sure yet why as I only really notice it when I'm in the gym (I use the device to track the time, while I'm there). Could very well be battery related, where dead battery = time gets out of whack. Easy enough fix though.- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Every time I carry this thing around I feel like it screams "wrist band!" to me. I know it's not a huge product line to warrant a lot of accessories but a band would really be useful in the gym, coupled with BT headphones.- roebeet

Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6
Appreciate the upcoming firmware - when it's ready it's ready. In the meantime it's good as-is. I do wish that someone would make a wrist band though as this thing is perfect for something like that, especially if you're using BT headphones. I've read here that iPod Nano bands might(?) work...- roebeet

Cowon Z2 (Next Cowon Player?)
Quote: There's really not much else Cowon can fix, at least performance wise, with the D3. It's got a 82xx Telechips CPU and 256MB of RAM, which is just pitiful for 2012 (and it wasn't too great for 2011, either - that was strictly 2010 territory, for an Android device). The...- roebeet
