AKG K501s: the right side doesn't work, how do I fix this?
Come on, there's got to be someone that remembers how to open a K501 cup, at least? I can't seem to pry off the cap on the back of the cup.- RetardedUnicorn

AKG K501s: the right side doesn't work, how do I fix this?
Hello people! I recently bought a pair of AKG K501s off of some random guy, and when I got home and excitedly tried to listen to them, I realised that the right side of the headphones did not produce any sound. Now people who know about the K501s know that they're now rare, and...- RetardedUnicorn

Sennheiser hd-650 or Hifiman he-400
I own both the HD650s and the HE-400s, and I actually prefer the HD650s over the HE-400s. I think it really depends on what you're looking for in a headphone. If you want rich, deep, sound then the HD650s is the way to go. If you want clarity, neutrality and a larger soundstage, then the HE-400s...- RetardedUnicorn

Headphones More Engaging Than The HD650s?
I'm not sure about Grados, I've had a listen to a friend's sr325i and I thought they were too shrill for my liking. I haven't really heard any headphones that I thought would solve this problem, but then again that's why I thought to post this thread. BTW, I currently own a Schiit Audio...- RetardedUnicorn

Headphones More Engaging Than The HD650s?
Hello all, I've been a lurker on this forum a while now and I thought I'd finally create an account. The question I pose for you all today is one I've been wondering for a long, long time. I'm looking for a pair of headphones more engaging and less laid back than the Sennheiser HD650s. I...- RetardedUnicorn

Over-hear headphones for ipod/iphone without amp
The Hifiman HE-400s do very well. They are huge and cumbersome though, so they won't be suitable for use on public transport or any activity that requires much movement.- RetardedUnicorn

Try noisymotel.com or frogbeats.com. They're handmade in Russia, so they can be a tad difficult to find. Good luck on your quest, they're wonderful headphones ^^- RetardedUnicorn

Looking for ~150$ headphones for psychedelic and prog music
For some reason, I feel this need to recommend the Fischer Audio FA-011s whenever I come across a thread like this. They're just great headphones. They're really engaging and "full". I own the HD650s and HE400s, and I still go back to my FA-011s occasionally, they're like a guilty...- RetardedUnicorn

You could try the Fischer Audio FA-011s. They're about 150USD and they sound absolutely amazing for that price. They're excellent for most genres, and they're quite comfortable.- RetardedUnicorn
