Does anyone know how to connect the Sabaj D5 to a Raspberry Pi with Volumio via I2s connection (not USB)? What are the requirements? Thanks!

Don't underestimate the impact of a good amp, it makes a real difference in sound, even for mid-range cans.

Sabaj D5: the DAC that is unquestionably a digital to analog converter

My experience – fast and good support via Sabaj / amazon.eu. The D5 has a wide soundstage, very natural sounding, on par with the RME ADI-2 DAC (only output via XLR). I really prefer it over my old Yulong DA8 (ES9018 Pro). Tested with Questyle CMA800R Golden Dual Mono and HD800S (standard cable).

Sabaj D5: the DAC that is unquestionably a digital to analog converter

Hi, I got a problem with my D5 yesterday. Didn't play DSD files anymore via "DSD over PCM Standard 1.1" in Audirvana (Mac). Changed to Native DSD Compatibility: "None: Conversion to PCM" and it works again. No Audio Output, only a loud click… Resetting the DAC helped (pulled the power cord...

    Sennheiser HD820

Hello, I've noticed, that the top of the headband of the HD820 makes some pressure on the head after longer usage… are there any solutions for that? tried with a little bit foam, which helps but looks quite silly.

Sabaj D5: the DAC that is unquestionably a digital to analog converter

Can confirm this. The DAC has really great sound via XLR, better than my old Yulong DA8. Does an excellent job despite its price in my rig (Questyle CMA800R Mono Amps, HD820/800S)

Great USB adapter for Macbook Pro

You can also use a splitter cable to charge and transfer data. Works fine with my mojo. https://www.amazon.com/UCEC-Splitter-Charge-Devices-Single/dp/B01713KLSY/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?keywords=Micro-USB-Splitter-Kabel%2C+2+Micro+USB+B-Stecker+auf+1+USB+A-&qid=1575076016&sr=8-2-fkmr0

SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Balanced AMP!

You don't have to pair it with a balanced DAC. I suppose you aren't risking any loss of audio quality since the SP200 does handle XLR internally to RCA single-ended, it's not built symmetrically. The better way would be a balanced DAC with a fully symmetrically built amp.

SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Balanced AMP!

No, no. The Benchmark is of course a little bit better than the SMSL. But the differences between them are not as big as one might expect regarding the price difference between them. 300€ for the SMSL vs. 3.500€ for the Benchmark should make a difference anyway.
