i am not really sure an external dac will give you better sound quality compare to an XFI alone in games. with USB you will use more CPU power and a lot of games uses creative specific effects that are hardware on the XFI but won't be on a usb dac .... why buy a gamer's sound card if you...- regis helaine

What are you doing to ensure the safety of your files?
as hfat said raid is NO backup ... it is high availability if you have a power surge doesn't really matter if you have 25 drives with 25 spares.. another harddrive offsite is backup.- regis helaine

listening to the 9th right now...same thing...slightly to fast.... tho now that i had more time i begin to see that what i don't really like about that recording it not so much the speed but the too sharp instrument. Just received my new cd of Beethoven symphonies (still looking for the perfect one) i was always for fast Beethoven conductor but i think for the first time i found a recording with TOO FAST of a conductor. finaly decided on what to buy
technicaly i don't really have 750 yet....hopefully will be able to get all that in the following month. I work from home and i really need an upgrade... currently i am listening to a HD202 sennheiser hooked to my laptop or an H10 and my hear are about to explode within 2 hours...very tirering .- regis helaine

hi th sony MDR-605LP were my first "good" headphones. is there any equivalent to those around? i need an open back because i want to be able to hear the kids while working and still have the comfort of circumaural. thanks- regis helaine
