I want to improve my Empyreans. Cant decide whether to go with Copper or Silver plated PCUHD cable. I wonder if silver is too analytical and copper may work better for me. I enjoy more laidback / non-fatiguing sound signature. Anybody who has tried both with their Empys?

Thanks guys! The sound is very warm and lush with the Pendant. I got some vintage tubes when I got the Pendant and that's what I'm currently using. Would be interesting to try some other tubes too. I also need to do some A/B listening with the Auteurs when I get a chance. Right out of the box...

Just received the Empy's. What are some of the best amps that go with it? I have RME Adi-2 Dac FS. Also have ZMF Pendant tube amp and ZMF Auteur headphones. Also, do Empy's have a break in period? I do feel they can open up some more. I'm running them just out of RME's as of now.

Thanks! Abyss does seem out of reach. I’ll check out kennerton headphones and RAD-0! I’m fine going up to 3k (and 4k if its really, really worth it). But of course cheaper the better! And something little easier to drive and would not need another 2k for an amp lol.

Sorry if this is buried in this thread somewhere, but what are some of the end game headphones for metal? I love a more laid back/warm sound, and listen to a lot of doom/black/thrash/heavy metal.
