Hope this thread not dead... Is there any reason the 2020 would have less headroom that the pro? I have both and the volume on the pro is much higher than it is on the 2020. I checked gain everything else even rest both. Inspects the outputs the same did I get a bad unit? Never mind.. found...

Any idea what the "VELVETSOUND" is on the chips in this AKM4497 DAC chip? I assume it is a tuning approach and since it is also listed on the chip manufacturers site I guess its a AKM Tune. I am a Hiby fan I love my R6 Pro.

Yeah we did it's really a great unit surprised how good it sounds even with the built in phono amp. tricky to set up cuz you got to do the tonearm setup but once you get to dial in. then it sounds way better than any of the entry-level audio-technica's I've had

I own a few NHT speakers and they are outstanding, especially the M001 monitors which are no longer available. They are entering. Into the earphone market this fall with Superbuds.. should be interesting as these guys are a small shop that is really into audio...
