    Dekoni Fidelio X2 Choice Pads!

Velour is what I want, but seeing as my suede pads completely fell apart I'm not looking to get burned again.

    Dekoni Fidelio X2 Choice Pads!

@DekoniAudio, I see on the website that there is a 2 year warranty on pads. I would think that the suede separating after less than 2 months would qualify as a defect, but I also don't know if warranty services would try to count that as "wear & tear from usage." Not sure if it's even worth...

    Dekoni Fidelio X2 Choice Pads!

Well I'm not particularly hype about this development. I got my Dekoni pads delivered April 8th and I've noticed that one of the suede pads is coming apart. It appears the suede is only glued into place as opposed to being mechanically secured by the design. That's kind of a bummer for $50...

    Decent Quality DIY MMCX Connectors?

Those Rhodium plated MMCX plugs came in sooner than I was expecting, for something from AliExpress. So far so good, but I'll have to see how they are doing in some weeks or months from now. I will say they fit the jacks much more snuggly than the previous male ends I was using.

    Decent Quality DIY MMCX Connectors?

Whichever model number is the one without the stock removable cable.

    Decent Quality DIY MMCX Connectors?

Well I can't find the connectors you linked, but doing some poking around, I think I might pull the trigger on these...

    Decent Quality DIY MMCX Connectors?

Thanks so much for that. This issue had been driving me crazy for months and I hadn't heard of it before. I'll keep an eye out. I would think the ""beryllium" portion is the important part. I just didn't know what to look for to not experience the same issue all over again.

    Decent Quality DIY MMCX Connectors?

Some time ago I converted my Fostex TR-X00 Purple Hearts to a removable wire using MMCX connectors. All was well for quite a while, but I started to notice that when I'd turn my head I'd get some static in my ears. I went so far as to redo my soldering but after doing some research it seems that...

    Dekoni Fidelio X2 Choice Pads!

Looking through this thread, I hate to agree with certain poster(s), but I picked up the suede and leather pads from the recent restock but I think I'm finding myself preferring the stock pad's sound. I don't know how to properly describe the effect, but the it's like I can hear the empty space...

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

Ok, then I question how to keep the 2 wire twists from just untwisting themselves.

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

That seems so obvious, but I always assumed that wouldn't work unless you had 3 or more wires to lock the braid/weave in place. I'll need to test this out with some of my left over wire pieces.

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

I don't think I properly understand what exactly you mean by "crossing the individual strands..." and how that would keep then locked in place.

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

For real. I unbraided the 4 braid wire I'd ordered and rebraided it as 3 wire in order to make sleeving easier and that was a huge pain. I can't imagine an 8 wire braid.

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

Holy crap I underestimated how much of a pain this would be. Sleaving these cables took forever and straight up hurt my fingers. In any case, here's my first go at making some aux cables to match the keyboard cables I'd bought for a couple of my setups. I didn't do matching tech flex on them...

    Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review

This took way too long and was significantly more of a pain than I thought it'd be but I finally modded my headphone to have a detachable cable. I can detach from the ear cups themselves and I can connect to aux cables at multiple setups. I hate the 3.5mm female jack I had to put at the end of...
